Midweek Aussie T-Ball
The Aussie T-Ball programme will be available
directly from several Hills clubs this year, at
the local club field (not the school).
This is for players
new to the sport, in a condensed format suited to
the busy lifestyles of today's Sydney family. Most
importantly, these activities are offered at one
field each week during school terms, with no need to travel out of
your area. Click on the participating club links for more detail:-

Active After-school Communities The
AASC programme, run by the Australian Sports
Commission, links local sporting clubs with schools.
It offers after-school care from 3:00pm to 5:30pm
that goes beyond finger-painting and watching
movies. The emphasis is on the word "Active". This
programme gets kids outside and running around, in
physical activity that builds young minds and
bodies, but under formal and professional standards.
All AASC "Community Coaches" must satisfy strict
accreditation requirements, including a police
check, exams, a practical assessment, and a
six-month probationary/training period. Those
coaches will usually come from the local baseball
club, while the sessions are generally supervised by
a teacher. Ask your local school about
availability of Aussie T-Ball as part of their AASC
programme. |
